The army of the Dæmon King Was marching in the rain, going back again, Back towards the Western gates, Where blood would soon be shed, they would soon be dead The wizards marched in silent grace, For they would triumph now, they knew only how Fragile was the King's left flank, And they would cast a spell, send them back to hell The army of the Dæmon King Was slaughtered in the rain, screaming in the pain While their leaders dragged back down, For all eternity in sheer agony

Well, the rain was pounding on that fateful day, And the cuckoo had run out of words to say, But then I saw you and I wondered "What are you doing with the moon?" I spoke my thoughts, but you just stood there laughing loud, I saw no reason to create a watchful crowd, But still I hit you, and I said "What are you doing with the moon?"

The Library 03:27
Have you been to the library where everybody lives? Have you seen that hungry look in their eyes? Do you know of that library where everybody lives? Do you see its shadow up in the sky? Do you go to that library where all the people live? Do you creep over there in the night? Do you sleep in that library where all the people live? Do you read with them all through the night? Which way's up? Which way's down? Where's the floor? - I think it's outta sound Which way's in? Which way's out? I JUST WANNA SHOUT! (LIBRARY)

I was searching for the bus top in the pouring rain Somewhere in the distance I could see your face And I was unable to see What you tried to say to me, And I might have appeared to stare, But I was just breathing the air I was sitting in the pit stop with a paper plane And I felt the touch of something, a sharp stab of pain And feel I should have seen, But I was drowsy as I've been, And the night will soon be gone, As I sing my final song
6.
Time after time, the same old crime When will the people learn? If you never tire from making fire, You will share the burn Time after time, the same old rhyme When will the people know? You end up where you go I tried to tell her, but she wouldn't listen, And now she's gone away So I will set sail, out to the ocean, The morn of the very next day

Dæmon Mine 03:52
He sits beside me, this dæmon mine, He shares my bread, he sips my wine We like to chat about this and that, He takes my soul to the dry cleaners and back I really love this dæmon mine, We get on just oh-so-fine He fills my mind with sombre thoughts, Tells me to do things that I ought not Dæmon of mine (Let's have some fun tonight) Dæmon of mine (You know the time is right) Dæmon of mine (Turn my mind inside-out) Dæmon of mine (You've come to stay, and there's no turning you out) My closest friend, this dæmon mine, I once could see but now I'm blind, I feel your breath in the cold night air, Please don't tell me you're going nowhere Dæmon of mine Dæmon of mine Dæmon of mine Dæmon of -

Wake up in the back of a double-decker bus - You cannot see clearly As you rub your eyes you quickly come to realise That you're on the bus to Aberdeen Through a steamy window you see a half-forgotten friend So you get up and head for the stairs Subsequently you feel a hand upon your shoulder So you start, and you spill all of your wares You scramble down to the lower floor, The bus stops and you make for the streets You walk with purposeless haste To try and escape the moonlight and sleet Before too long there's that Crushing feeling of dread impeding your feet
9.
I tried to talk reason, He came swooping down, Propaganda was embedded, I couldn't tear it down
10.
I see you walking as the wind blows in your hair, You hear me talking and act like I was not there I hear you now, but I just don't know what to say What good can even come from talking to you anyway?
11.
I don't know how to tell you, Or even if I should tell you at all, But I just can't account for this feeling, It's got deep into my soul, So please don't go from my life, You make my rainy days bright, You are my starlight at night And if I seem insincere, Believe me it's just the somewhat excessive use of imagery, And though it pains me I might never tell you, What I'm singing is true It's probably about time That I forget you, I know And I guess that I could, I only I were certain that you'd say no So I suppose that I'll wait, And maybe I'm not too late To take you out on a date I hope you don't disapprove Of my admittedly somewhat obscure way of telling you, It's just that all of a sudden I find, Can't get you out of my mind By this point you may see the Flaw in sending messages by song Maybe nobody will listen, Or else they'll get the meaning all wrong But you can take it as read That I do mean what I've said, You're really stuck in my head And if I can't find the words; Maybe this song sounds absurd; Not like it matters anyway Only I think it's about time to say, You really brighten my day Perhaps these words sound trivial to you, I'm not surprised if they do But please believe, though I might not get through, What I'm singing is true
12.
When I was young I never had all too much confidence in What I thought that I would do And now today, I have to say, and with all honesty, I still don't have a clue So time went by, was I too shy to get around to all the Things that I wanted to do? And standing here this time of year, at least I truly can say That I'm here with you As time moves on and I write songs which contemplate all of the Things that I'd rather not see I still don't know which way to go, But maybe that's just the way things are meant to be You know that I am gonna try to make the difference that I Just couldn't make before And if at all, within these walls, these empty halls, I think I might just find a door And when I look at you I know, Though I'm here on this road, I'm walking with you And when I look into your eyes, Maybe I should be surprised? Your soul's not on view I ain't got nothin' to doin' now, I ain't got nowhere to bein' now But that ain't worryin' me, 'cause honey I don't feel blue Ain't no-one wantin' to see me now, Ain't no-one wantin' to be me now But that ain't worryin' me, 'cause honey, I still got you So here we are, we've got this far, and yet there still is quite a Way that we've yet to go Where that might be, we'll only see, If our so fragile walkway can bear the load Our minds may play by night, by day, In caverns far beyond that which we really know, But while they do I'll be with you, And then at least we can say that we made it through
